Glass Bead Making

My original handcrafted glass beads are made by a process called lampworking using an oxygen-propane blow torch.

The bead making process can seem quite magical as small glass rods transform from flame to liquid droplets. Smaller pieces of glass called stringers are what I use to decorate the bead. It's a delicate process requiring a steady hand, the right tools, patience, and above all, imagination.

I use quality Italian Moretti glass, Bali silver, and occasionally silver foil in my creations. Each bead is one of a kind, and can take up to 30-45 minutes each to complete. Imagine, a full bracelet or necklace can take 7-12 hours of detailed work!
